A lone zebra in Hell's Gate NP, Kenya, 1996.
This is unusual; zebra usually cluster together in herds for protection (their markings make them hard to distinguish and attack). However, there are no predators in Hell's Gate, so presumably the animals have become bolder than normal. For the same reason, it is (or was) the only park in Kenya where one could travel on foot, or in my case by bicycle.
