Photography 🢒 Pakistan and India, 1996

Rakaposhi, as seen from Gilgit.

The summit of Rakaposhi is at 7788m altitude, and Gilgit town at about 1500m altitude, so the peak in the photo is about 6300m high. That's more than twice the height of the Rocky Mountains, and it's typical of the peaks around the Karakoram Highway. Photographing them often proved difficult just because of that scale.
