There's considerable debate whether the mountain we call "Mount Sinai" is actually the same one mentioned in the book of Exodus. That hasn't stopped people from building a chapel and mosque on top of it, and St. Catherine's Monastery below. Regardless, it is a great hike in spectacular scenery.
