The LEP collider ring tunnel at CERN foyer, 1990. Also a couple friends pretending to be a positron and electron. We went exploring a bit one day while LEP was shut down; whle it was running there would be too much radiation there.
The actual particles were guided through a narrow pipe by the magnets (the rectangular objects on the left of the tunnel.
