Photography 🢒 Alberta 1976-1990
A panorama of the lakes in Waterton Lakes NP, taken from up on the Bear's Hump. I think the photo dates from 1987 or 1989 but am not sure.
These days I'd use hugin or some similar to stitch together the images, but I don't have the original scans that went into this one any more, nor any film scanner to rescan the slides.
A major forest fire in 2017 destroyed much of the vegetation on the western side of the lake. This view would look much different if reshot now (2024).
